Menhover 有机硅 S-407


Menhover * S-407 dissolves and retains its chemical stability in the isocyanates commonly applied in the manufacturing of polyurethane rigid foam.

Application

Menhover * S-407  is chemically resistant even in rigid foam polyols and in pre-mixed blends of formulations which contain blowing agents, amines, tin catalysts and reactive or non-reactive flame retardants. Depending on the chemical structure of  S-407, sometimes, complete physical solubility is not always ensured. In those cases the masterbatch has a turbid or opaque appearance. This does not affect the performance and the processability of the formulation. A narrow and uniform density distribution and a very fine cell structure with a maximum of closed cells are distinguishing features of foams produced with Menhover * silicone S-407. This combination of characteristics is the prerequisite for good thermal insulation properties of the resulting foam. Since Menhover * silicone S-407 has no free hydroxyI groups its chemical structure and stability make it a particularly well-suited special product which can be dosed partly or completely over the isocyanate stream.
