Product Description |
Menhover* Silicone BL-6848 a non-hydrolysable polyether silicone surfactant for the manufacturing of polyurethane rigid foam. BL-6848 is well suitable for all flow demanding applications, such as appliance and discontinuously produced sandwich insulation panels. It offers a very high nucleation support for very low lambda values. This surfactant can be used with all common blowing agents, such as pentanes, HFCs and HFOs. The applied concentration of BL-6848 is between 1.0 to 3.0 parts per 100 polyols. The optimal concentration will depend on specifics of the formulation. |

Due to the enhanced hydrophobic character of BL-6848 , its use may cause some haziness in common rigid foam systems, Solidification point: below 5 °C, advised storage temperature is 20-35 °C,. Safety and handing information is contained in the BL-6848 surfactant Material safety Data Sheet, available upon request from Menhover. Recommends that our surfactants be stored in a dry and cool area under appropriate ventilation conditions. Each container should be closed tightly to avoid contamination with moisture or other negative influences. The optimum storage temperature is between 15- 40°C. |
